We recently got to join the kids at Tarragindi Edge Early Learning Centre as they explored their new playground. What a massive transition this has been for everyone involved.

It was a long 14 weeks wait while our team of builders, plumbers, lanscapers, vinyl floor layers, electricians, & more worked closely with Edges team of proffessionals to create a playspace and staff room for their team, the transformation included:

  • entry into their play space with stepping logs for balance and tiered garden beds that the kids are going to be able to grow their own greens and plants in over the year.
  • They have a cosy little timber reading nook with stencilled tin roofing which the staff have decorated with colourful strings that the kids enjoyed spinning through, and large cushions to relax on.
  • Stepping under the building they have a new kitchen area where they can explore and have imaginitive play – this even has a little counter and sink so they can play shops
  • A brand new timber edged sandpit
  • They even have new bathrooms built to spec with Edge’s trademark tiles
  • The old fencing has been removed with a new retaining wall adding additional space to overall play area as the yard was previously on a sloap with multi-levels has been excavated, it now has two flat levels
  • The majority of the space has astroturf layed, designed to withstand heat to keep the kids feet cooler during those hot summer days and still look natural
  • Around the tree is a sensory garden with plants set in bark with more stepping logs, a seating bench hugging the tree and a garden teepee off to the side
  • They now have a brand new double platform fort made with timber logs acting as a balance beam towards a climbing net that connects to a platform with a slide and a ladder teaching the kids confidence and challenging their balancing skills.
  • In the back area the kids now get to enjoy a new bike path with timber and brick tactiles and mini ramp
  • And finally sitting just beyond this is a dry creak bed with stepping logs and a live pump for kids to have water play

Such a fun play area for kids to explore and enjoy check out the video of the kids above and see more on the before and afters below
