The typical range for tankless heater installation is between $3500 and $5800 averaging out to around $3,200.

Yes. A tankless water heater requires professional installation because of its high-powered burners.

The national cost average to repair a gas line is $150 to $700. However, it costs $2,300 to fix a leak in an underground pipe that requires extensive excavation.

Here are the safety measures you need to repair a leaking gas line:

1. Switch off the gas.
2. Find the leak.
3. Get rid of extra gas.
4. Clean it up.
5. Seal the leaks.
6. Test the lines.
7. Replace the covers.

Here’s the 10 steps to repair a gas line crack:

1. Turn off the gas.
2. Remove the covers.
3. Detach the gas line.
4. Remove the residue gas pressure.
5. Clean the line.
6. Scuff the surface.
7. Attach the gas line.
8. Apply the epoxy.
9. Test the gas lines.
10. Reinstall the covers.

Here’s the five ways to know if your gas line is leaking:

1. Smell – if it smells like sulfur or rotten eggs because propane has a similar acrid odor.
2. The bubble test – If you see a soapy suds start to appear on a gas line, you have a small leak.
3. Unreliable pilot light – if the pilot light on your appliance frequently shuts off.
4. Dead plants – if there are dying grass or plants without explanation.
5. Home testing – use different types of electronic gas leak testers.

Depending on the severity of the leak, gas line repairs can take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours.

Steps to repairing a hole in a copper gas line:

1. Soldering two couplings & piece of pipe.
2. Compression couplings.
3. Sharkbite slip coupling.
4. Repair clamp.
5. Soldering hole shut.
6. Copper wire fix.
7. Alfa tape.
8. Freeze fix epoxy compound.

Here are ways to a cracked copper pipe without replacement:

1. Pipe repair clamps.
2. Epoxy putty.
3. Pipe leak tape.
4. Soldering.

Here’s how to check if your stove is leaking gas:

– Check for odours that smell like rotten eggs or sulphur.
– Watch out for a whistling or hissing noise near the gas line.
– Turn on the burner and check the colour of the initial flame (it should be blue, not orange or red).
– Use a gas leak detector if you have any.
– Douse the suspected area with soapy water and look for bubbles to show up.

Your furnace might be leaking if it produces a sulphur-like smell or hissing sound. Also, watch out for other signs like unexplained death of your indoor plants and sudden flu-like symptoms among the occupants, such as headache, throat irritation, fatigue and nausea.

The best way to repair a leaking roof is to locate the damaged shingle, replace it and renew the flashing seals by using special masonry caulk.

The most common causes of roof leaks include broken or missing shingles, issues with seams, cracked flashings, age of the roof, clogged gutters, improperly sealed roof valleys & vents and roof damage brought about by harsh weather conditions.

Roofs usually leak around the chimneys, windows, vents, skylights and missing shingles.

The most common roof problems include leaks, loose or missing shingles, ice dams, clogged gutters and moss build-up.

The most common types of roof repairs include shingle or tile replacement, reinstallation of roof flashing, gutter repair & maintenance, resealing of seams and improving roof ventilation.

A pressure build-up can cause water to leak from the bottom part of your shower. The most common problem is the shower hose being blocked. When it’s blocked, it can cause the water pressure to increase. Most modern showers feature a pressure relief device, but if your shower doesn’t have one, it’s best to call a professional plumber to address the issue.

Typically, roof replacement depends on its age & material. Composition shingles should be replaced in 12 to 20 years, while you should have new asphalt shingles after your old ones pass the 15 to the 30-year mark. Wood shingles are generally replaced in 20 to 25 years, rubber roofs in 30 to 50 years and metal roofs in 50 to 75 years.
The climate of the location matters, too. Severe humidity can cause the roofing materials to wear out more quickly. It’s best to conduct a bi-annual inspection to address problems before they get serious.

You can reinforce a toilet seat by installing a rubber bushing or adding seat stabilisers.

Although lighter than enamelled or veneered toilet seats, plastic toilet seats are tough and durable. Their finish can also resist chips and stains.

The parts of a toilet seat include the lid, bowl, seat, rim, tank o-ring seal, floor flange, handle, refill tube, chain, float and flapper.

Most commercial toilets are one-piece units without integral tanks. The water pressure is controlled by the manually operated flush valve and a control stop screw. So if your office toilet won’t flush, you can try to adjust the control stop crew. If that doesn’t work, it’s best to call a professional plumber, as there may be serious issues with your commercial toilets.

Try to adjust the control stop crew. Rotate it counter-clockwise, making a one-quarter turn at a time. Then, test-flush the commercial toilet after each turn to check the flushing pressure & flow. Continue making one-quarter turns counter-clockwise until you notice adequate flushing pressure & volume.

A commercial toilet doesn’t have an integral tank. Instead, it usually receives water directly from the water supply line, which delivers water at a high pressure to carry waste through the drainage system. In some cases, it gets the flushing power from an electric pump.

First, turn off the water supply to the leaking pipes. Find the hole or loose pipe connections and clean & prep the area for patching. Apply the patch & repair clam over the hole or damaged section. You can use a metal file to smooth sharp edges that might cut through the patch.

You can fix loose plumbing under the sink by tightening the connection or replacing some parts. If the issue is leaky pipes, you have to find the source of the leak and patch it up using a repair clamp or other solutions.

The cost of re plumbing a small bathroom depends on the project complexity and the number of bathroom appliances. On average, you may have to spend $600 to $2,000 per bathroom appliance or $2,000 to $15,000 for a new entire pipework installation.
